Kerf:
The cut made by a saw or blade.
Kerning:

Kick Plate:
A metal or plastic plate or strip that runs along the bottom edge of a sign structure or kiosk to protect against marring of the finished surface by kicking or cleaning equipment.
Kiosk:
Traditionally a small structure used for posting temporary signs and notices. A free standing structure onto (and into) which messages and pertinent information can be housed and displayed. Many kiosks have interactive elements such as touch screen monitors. May be portable or permanent.
